From the moment I boarded my first international flight at thirteen, the world began shaping me. Summers in Bermuda and a birthday in the Bahamas revealed the power of mobility, culture, and possibility. By sixteen, barbering became my first gateway to freedom—an art and trade that taught me entrepreneurship, creativity, and how confidence can transform a person’s life. That craft followed me into adulthood, quietly preparing me for everything that came next.
College expanded my understanding of human development and social influence.
While attending Northwestern University, where I earned a B.S. in Education & Social Policy, I learned how people develop, influence, and shape their social settings--families, communities, educational institutions, and the workplace--across their lifespan. That insight carried me through early success in sales and business development, and later into building Tailormade Male Grooming Center—an innovative “barbershop‑meets‑haberdashery” concept that redefined men’s grooming in Chicago. It was there, in the middle of serving clients and operating a revolutionary business concept, that someone recognized my ability to diagnose problems, elevate people, and build systems. That moment opened the door to management consulting and eventually senior leadership roles at Accenture, KPMG, Deloitte, and Visa.
Over the next three decades, my work took me across the U.S. and around the world—guiding leaders through transformation, helping organizations evolve, and coaching individuals toward purpose, authenticity, and peak performance. The freedom, mobility, and mastery I gained didn’t come from titles; they came from understanding who I am, what I’m called to do, and how to help others unlock the same clarity.
Everything I teach in the I AM TAILORMADE™ Purpose & Mastery program is rooted in this lived journey.
