At age 13, I started traveling internationally. A few summers spent in Bermuda visiting extended family and a trip to Bahamas for my 16th birthday opened my eyes to the possibilities of worldwide life, cultures and experiences. I found the power of mobility and geographic freedom.  

At age 16, I discovered the art of barbering (or barbering found me). It was a means to create financial freedom as a teenager, develop entrepreneurial literacy, express my creative talents and help improve people's lives by giving them self-confidence. I became known for my artistic flair, attention to detail, signature techniques, customer experience and ability to work with a variety of hair-types to create Tailormade hairstyles. This reputation followed me throughout my adolescent years through adulthood. Little did I know what impact the barber industry would have on my personal and professional life. 

At age 18, I earned a full athletic scholarship to Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) where I played football, earned a B.S. in Education & Social Policy and became a product of the Big Ten Conference. It was during this time where I learned how people develop, influence, and shape their social settings–families, communities, educational institutions, and the workplace–across their lifespan.  After receiving a strong academic background and real-world experience, I led a successful career in sales and business development from 1997 to 2002 with companies such as, SPSS, Heska and Bayer Diagnostics. 

At age 28, I conceptualized and managed the entire capital raising, business development, and construction build-out process of an upscale barbershop meets haberdashery concept under the name Tailormade Male Grooming Center that transformed the men’s barbering industry in the Chicagoland area. It was during this time that I was introduced to the management consulting industry. A loyal client of the Tailormade Male Grooming Center (and a Senior Partner at Accenture) took note of my business acumen and problem-solving ability and encouraged me to pursue a career at Accenture, which I did. Following a successful tenure at Accenture, I held senior leadership roles at global firms including KPMG, Deloitte, and Visa. Today, I still serve as an Independent Consultant to Fortune 100 companies–a role I continue to find deeply rewarding, inspiring and challenging. 

My 28+ year career as a serial entrepreneur, management consultant and trusted advisor to multinational corporations has garnered me control of my time, and flexibility in my location. Fortune 100 companies have trusted me to guide their leaders through organizational change, transformation, leadership and professional development that help them achieve their goals. As a result, I have visited or worked in almost every major city in the U.S., as well as 10 countries.
